On Friday 22nd March the staff and students said goodbye to Mr Hahn. Mr Hahn was the Principal of JPS for 10 years and has worked for the Department of Education since 1980. He will be sorely missed and on behalf of the students, staff and wider community we wish him well on his next chapter of retirement.
“Over the years I have had the pleasure to work with so many dedicated and passionate teachers, education assistants, office staff, ancillary staff and also parents, community members and more importantly the students. Together we have celebrated many great moments, triumphs, challenges and highs and I will take many wonderful and fond memories with me. My aspirations and dreams for all students are to apply all the skills, qualities and knowledge they have learnt at school to everyday life. Such as how to problem solve, interact with kindness and wisdom, to be flexible and negotiate, to be respectful, responsible and safe, to always have a go at everything and never give up. I will hold the students, staff, parents and community of Joondalup Primary School very dear and close to my heart – Russell Hahn.

ANZAC Ceremony - Last Day of Term |
On Tuesday the 19th of February the Year Fives and Sixes participated in Armed for Life. It was great fun and we learnt about Resilience, Self-Esteem and Wellbeing. We would like to thank Adam, Aaron and Mark for coming to Joondalup Primary School.
In Rooms 10 and 11 we are learning about animal adaptions by doing fun experiments. One of the really fantastic experiments we have done is Blubber Me! In the experiment we learned about how whales adapt to colder temperatures. First we had put someone’s hand in the ice cold water and timed it. Next, we put Blubber on the person’s other hand, and timed that as well. Over all, it was a great experiment and we would love to do it again.
