This is a special welcome back to school newsletter. I hope everyone had a wonderful break and is ready for a busy Term Four!
Swimming
Tomorrow is the first day of swimming for PP-Year 2 children. The last day for PP-Year 2 swimming is Friday 20 October 2023
| Session 1 | Rooms 32 & 6 | Leaving school at 11:40 am |
| Session 2 | Rooms 31, 30 & 18 (Year 1s) | Leaving school at 12:25 pm |
| Session 3 | Rooms 19, 20 & 18 (Year 2s) | Leaving school at 1:10 pm |
Children need bathers, towel, plastic bag, goggles (optional) and thongs. No jewellery. There is no charge for swimming lessons.
Year 3 and 4 children will go to swimming from Monday 23 October 2023 to Wednesday 1 November 2023.
Year 6 children are going beach swimming from Monday 20 November to Friday 1 December 2023.
P&C Colour Run
We have Colour Run coming up soon, and you will have received notes about this today. It is a really fun afternoon, and everyone can be part of it, even if you choose not to have coloured power splashed on you. This year we have a couple of extra things happening too – make sure you check the note coming home. Students who attend Kindy A group are welcome to attend, but must be accompanied by their parent.
Referendum Day
This Saturday 14 October is referendum day. Our school is a place where you can come and vote. Our P&C is hosting a sausage sizzle, so if you are in the area pop down, vote and grab a sausage sizzle.
Carols by Candlelight and Campus 30th Anniversary
Joondalup Schools will be holding Carols by Candlelight and our 30th birthday celebration on Friday 1 December 2023. More information will be sent to families closer to the date.
Traffic Warden – Candlewood Boulevard
There are three traffic wardens that work around our school perimeter each morning and afternoon. They are positioned on Jolstra Avenue, Blue Mountain Drive and Candlewood Boulevard. At present the traffic warden positioned on Candelwood Boulevard is on leave and we have not been informed of an interim replacement as yet. Traffic Wardens are managed by the Western Australian Police Force, not our school. We have given feedback of the importance of having someone stationed at this point.
Assembly update
The first assembly will be held on Tuesday 17 October at 2.15pm and is presented by Rooms 12 and 13. Please come along!
P&C Association meeting
The next P&C Association meeting is on Wednesday 25 October 2023 at 7.00pm in the staffroom.
Gardening Club
There is no Gardening Club this term.
