Bridge over a pond with Waterlilies
The students in Rooms 18, 20, 30 and 31 created art work after viewing the work of Claude Monet. The bridge and waterlilies were drawn in wax crayon. A blue dye wash was painted over the top and then yellow dye sprayed on. Salt was sprinkled on to add to the dappled light effect. The elements of shape and space was the focus when drawing.

Seascape
The students attending Visual Arts this semester worked with the elements of line, shape and value to create an abstract seascape. Different lines were drawn across the page and the sea was painted blue, adding white to create lighter values towards the surface. Silver paint markers were used to embellish the lines and create a sparkling sea. The boats were added with cut out coloured paper.

Birds
The students in Room 31 explored texture. They used a variety of objects and pushed different textures into circular clay slabs. The clay was joined together, and a bird made. The greenware was fired. An oxide stain was used to highlight the textures. Coloured underglaze highlighted the eye and beak. A clear glaze was painted over the top.

Winter
The colour spectrum was revised before the students in room 31 drew the rainbow in wax crayon. Rain and puddles were added in white, and a blue dye wash painted over the page. The artwork was completed with a drawing of themselves holding an umbrella.
