Let’s trash talk.

There is one thing we all do every single day without even thinking twice about it. We put something in the bin! Thinking about where the WASTE goes and making the best bin-based decisions we can, goes a long way towards taking the pressure off the planet!

During week 7 and 8, the students from Kindy to Year 6 were involved in a SUEZ Waste incursion with the aim of educating students on how to recognise and understand what waste goes into a red lid, yellow lid and green lid bin.

Remy, Raf and Riley are The Recoverables: three waste wise superheroes each with their own focus and special powers, united in their mission to help students:

• reduce,
• reuse and
• recycle more of our waste.

Together, with the help of The Recoverables, the students engaged in a variety of bin-based sorting activities and realised that they too possess a waste wise super power…they have the power to reduce, reuse and recycle waste properly, in order to create a more sustainable future!
