Faction Carnival
On Friday 22nd March students competed in one of the biggest sporting events to hit Windermere Oval, the Faction Carnival.
Students from Pre-Primary to Year Two competed in tug of war, running races, relay races and multiple team games.
Students from Years 3 to Year 6 competed in long jump, long throws, tug of war, running races, relay races and various team games.
This year saw the parents get involved, not only as spectators but as athletes. A big thank you to those who ran and made the carnival that much more exciting for everyone. Thank you to all who came down and created a positive atmosphere for everyone involved.
Thank you to Sue who does a lot of behind the scenes work to get the carnival up and going. A special mention to Bec for all her help during the week. You have made the events run extremely smoothly and your time is greatly appreciated. Thank you to Lydia for volunteering to help with the running of the long jump.
Thank you to all the staff members and parents who got up early or stayed behind to help set up or pack away. There were many of you this year and the workload was cut down due to great cooperation.
Congratulations to the champion boys and girls for the day. This was awarded to the Year 3 to Year 6 students who performed best overall when combining the points for long jump, long throws and division one running.
