STEM is EVERYWHERE!

Was there anything better as a kid than swinging along the monkey bars and trying to see how fast you could go?

The monkey bars are still a staple of many playgrounds. Did you know that in addition to being heaps of fun and good for physical fitness, they are also a great example of #STEMEverywhere?

In order to move between the monkey bars, you use brachiation which is similar to how monkeys move. Thanks physics.

Maybe the next time you see Mrs Young on the monkey bars you can call out “That’s some efficient brachiating!”
