Indonesian students visiting Joondalup Primary School

On the 15^th November, seven students and a parent from Jakarta visited Joondalup Primary School for a study tour. Before coming to our school, they visited some of Perth's universities. 

The students from Indonesia are Faradiba, Ariel, Nurul, Shifa, Gabriel, Tristan, and Vanya and the parent who accompanied them is Ibu Francisca Eron.  In Indonesia, all public schools are named by numbers. The visiting students are from Sixty Senior High School or SMAN 60. At our school assembly, the visitors received gifts from our school. The gifts were organised by our school principal, Ms Carol Selley. 

While they were here, the students visited the Music, Visual Art, Science and Indonesian classes.

The students from Jakarta helped our Years 5 and 6 students to complete their Indonesian tasks and also conversed with them in Indonesian. Rooms 6 and 8 students learned three Indonesian dances from Sumatera Island.

The visiting students enjoyed their visit to Joondalup Primary School and gave a very positive comment on our school and students.

The visiting Indonesian students said that the Joondalup Primary School students are amazing. When Ms Tammy Hanrahan asked about their comment regarding their visit to our school, they said, 'They  are very active. We did not know this school has such very a good program of studies.”
