The term has started very smoothly; it will be very busy with lots of great educational activities taking place.
Open Board Meeting
The School Board warmly invites parents to attend its Open Meeting on Wednesday 20th November at 6.00pm. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this great opportunity to see how the Board functions.
2020 Planning
We are currently looking at class structures for 2020. We encourage families to inform us of any changes to their plans immediately to assist with this process. Variations in numbers impact class structures and staffing.
Kindy Enrolments
Joondalup Primary School has vacancies for Kindy in 2020. The school is enrolling students from inside and outside our catchment area. If you live in our area or if you have friends or relatives that would like to enrol their child in a high quality Kindy Program for 2019, please ask them to call the school on 9233 5800 for enrolment details.
Business Plan
You should have received your family copy of our new three year Business Plan. The Plan was developed in partnership between our staff and the School Board, Joondalup Primary School’s Business Plan 2019-2021 sets out our school’s long-term Strategic Plan. This Business Plan outlines long term strategic planning put in place to achieve the school’s student achievement improvement targets. It forms part of a set of documents including annual Operational Plans, the Workforce Plan, Financial Plans, and the Delivery and Performance Agreement (DPA). If you haven’t received your copy, please collect one from the front office.
OSCAR Our School Cares About Reading
The OSCAR program assists selected children to read, improving their fluency, comprehension and confidence. OSCAR runs every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.15am- 8:35 am in our school library. All information is provided and there is always support from our teachers and our other parents, should you require it. If you can support the program on one of the days please contact either Kim Camille at kim_dan2@hotmail.com
Staffing Update
Both Stacey Young and I will be taking Long Service Leave in Week Three. Mike Bibby will join the admin team in Week Three as Acting Associate Principal. Miss Carol Selley, newly appointed principal will commence at Joondalup Primary School on Monday 4th November, which is our School Development day.
