“Run, run as fast as you can!” shouted the many spectators at the Joondalup Learning Community’s Cross Country Cup. 7th August  saw students from Year 3 – Year 6 race against Springfield Primary School, Edgewater Primary School and Currumbine Primary School, finishing second overall.

Well done to the students who represented the schools. Your consistent efforts at training allowed the schools to achieve our best result in years. Congratulations to the Year 5 girls who were crowned champions for their race and congratulations to Lexis for finishing 3rd and Mikala for finishing 2nd in her race. Great effort ladies.

Thank you to all the parents and guardians that came down to support the students. It is always fantastic to have a great bunch of people around to create a positive atmosphere for the students to compete in.

A special mention to Rebecca and Mrs Egan for your wonderful work on the day and training the students leading up to the event. Running club has been a big step in the right direction for the Cross Country preparation and your efforts in helping the students have been nothing short of amazing. Thank you.

Running Club will now be two times a week, Monday and Thursday from 8:15am-8:45am. If you are in Year 3,4,5 or 6 then you know it is never too late to join in the fun.
