What an exciting term it has been. The Music room has been buzzing with activity, with the junior levels exploring the instruments of the orchestra, the middle school singing and playing on the instruments and the senior students continuing with their ukulele skills.  As the term has come to an end, the students have had fun playing on the boomwhackers.

Ocean Reef Senior High School Music student Visit
On Monday 1^st July the Year 11 and 12 students from Ocean Reef Senior High performed for the Year 4, 5 and 6 students of Joondalup Schools. The students showcased a range of instruments, such as a violin and guitar duo, solo saxophone and a guitar ensemble. The students finished by performing two songs with the Year 11/12 Rock Band. This was just a small showcase of the music opportunities that students have in high school and we were very grateful for the visit from Ocean Reef Senior High School!

The Choir has been hard at work this term preparing for their assembly and for Arts Night. Once again I would like to thank the students and families for your ongoing support of the Joondalup Choir. We have a wonderful bunch of dedicated students and Mrs Butler and I really appreciate the Tuesday early morning drop offs and continual support.  We hope everyone has a great break and we will see you when Choir commences on Tuesday 30^th July, week 2, term 3.
