Interschool Athletics Carnival

Last week, a number of JPS students competed in the Interschool Athletics carnival against 4 new schools at Wanneroo East Primary School. On the Wednesday we saw the students competing in long jump, long throw, 200m and 400m. All our competitors put in great effort on the day and we were able to place in many events.

Friday was the big day with sprints, team games and relay races. The individual sprints and relays were a highlight as we performed excellently across all years. This accumulated with Joondalup winning the Grand Relay in the final event. Joondalup Primary School finished 5^th out of all schools.

I was most proud with how our students performed throughout the day. The teams encouraged and supported one another which was great to see. I am excited to see so many of our younger students flourish on the racetrack and I think we can see improvement in the years to come.

There are some individuals that performed incredibly across both days and I would like to acknowledge 3 students who finished runner-up champions.

Thank you to the parents and families that came along to support us. It created an awesome atmosphere for the students. Thank you also goes to Carol Perry, Greg Perry, Katy Harding, Harry Cutler, Jamie Prisk and to the parents that helped over the course of these two days.
